The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is making new proactive support and service models possible, built on remote monitoring to enable equipment and assets at remote sites to be more easily accessed and continuously monitored. With IIoT comes continuous data providing insight about what is happening now, what has happened, and increasingly what will happen.

Chances are if you bought a new watch in the last year or two it was probably a fitness tracker or smartwatch. It’s really convenient to be able to monitor your heart rate, steps, and exercise - oh and it probably still tells you the time. You put it on your wrist and it just works!
